Free Music : Delusion or Despair by Human Error

by on May.13, 2011, under Free Music

Listening to the Sounds from the sand box podcast, I came across a recently released free album by Human Error. The album Delusion or Despair was released released earlier this year, and the album is a great trip through more downtempo/electro genre. Great chillout music as a lot of the tracks are very melodic and some purely instrumental.

Find them on Bandcamp and give them a listen.

Album Review : Beneath the Ashes by Fractured

by on Apr.13, 2011, under Album Reviews

Artist: Fractured
Album: Beneath the Ashes
Lablel: Dependent Records and Metropolis
Review by: DJ Hangedman

Fractured has pushed the bar with their signature sound in an amazing new release “Beneath The Ashes”.

The ear candy includes a variety of mixed sounds, some familiar some newish.  There are the soft building tones of classical guitar and cello, hard driving guitars and multiple vocal layers.  On some tracks there’s an unashamed yet subtle delve into deep bass of dubstep, alongside the hard and fast electro industrial punch Fractured is famous for.  The release also features cameos by M@ From Encephalon and It-Clings.

Everything about the album is tight.  Nick Gorman’s lyrical narrative is captivating, and his superb voice (as always) provokes a variety of emotions.  Even the cover art is impressive.  It’s no surprise that this album is being so well received abroad.    Here at home, I highly recommend picking it up and putting it on repeat.

This incarnation of Neurodance was not unlike the preceding ones. Loud, packed and epic. Club Neutral in Toronto had another fantastic and memorable event last night.

Here are the photos I took while at the event.
